Rach Gia is accessible by air and by road from major hubs like Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).
- By Air: This is the most convenient option for international and long-distance travelers.
- Airport: Rach Gia Airport (Code: VKG).
- Airlines: Vietnam Airlines and Bamboo Airways typically operate daily flights from Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat Airport – SGN).
- Travel Time: The flight is approximately 50 minutes.
- From the Airport to The Venue (Kien Giang University): The airport is about 10km from the city center. You can easily take a taxi (Xanh SM taxi recommended) or book a car via the Grab app. The ride should take 15-20 minutes.
- By Bus (from Ho Chi Minh City): This is a popular and economical option.
- Companies: Reputable companies like Phương Trang (FUTA Buslines) and Mai Linh offer comfortable sleeper buses.
- Departure: Buses leave from the Miền Tây Bus Station in HCMC. You can book tickets online through their websites/apps or at the station.
- Travel Time: The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours, usually with one rest stop.
- Arrival: Buses arrive at the Rach Gia Bus Station. From there, you can take a taxi or Grab to your hotel.
