November 30–December 1, 2016 | Venice, Italy

Track Session on

Smart, internet-connected objects and applications in dynamically evolving cities and communities

Call-For-Papers

Much research is being attracted by internet connected objects and applications in the context of smart cities. Smart cities denote cities well performing in a forward-looking way in economy, people, governance, mobility, environment, and living, built on operations (namely Smart City Operations - SCOs) that are often enabled by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), therefore involving internet-connected objects and are expected to have a profound impact on the socioeconomic future of cities around the Globe.
Systems enabling SCO are highly adaptive complex systems that pose great challenges in their development and operation. Current user-driven techniques for system domain modelling and requirements engineering are not adequate for supporting the development of such systems.
In this special session we address the current state of the art and explore innovative techniques in smart, internet connected objects and applications in the context of smart cities and communities.
Papers are solicited in, but not limited to, the following topics:
• Smart City Operations (SCOs), indicatively mobility, health, energy, e-governance
• Urban Mobility
• Requirements modeling for SCOs
• Requirements engineering for SCOs
• Adaptive and context aware systems
• ICT-oriented applications in smart cities
• Vehicular communications
• Efficiency and safety in urban mobility
• Dynamic supply chain management
• E-health services and applications
• E-governance, compliance and adaptability management
• Energy Union – energy integration
• Smart energy management systems

Follow the submission instructions at: https://goodtechs.eu/2016/show/initial-submission

Deadlines:
• Reception of full paper: 8 July 2016
• Paper acceptance notification: 25 September 2016
